What is a GLOSSY BOARD?

A GLOSSY BOARD, by definition, is a type of engineered wood panel, often made of MDF (medium-density fiberboard), that has a high-gloss surface finish. This finish is generally achieved through a process called UV (ultraviolet) curing, wherein a special coating is applied that is then hardened with UV light. Glossy boards are popular for interior design and furniture making, mainly due to their aesthetic appeal and smooth, reflective surface.
