Future of Engineered Wood is with Action TESA
The Mega Plantation Sustainability Drive at Action TESA is two step journey to revolutionize plantation management and empower farmers.
Step 1: Building Superior Planting Material
Action TESA has established a state-of-the-art Clonal Production Centre (CPC) at its Sitarganj facility in Uttarakhand. This advanced facility, equipped with six Hi-Tech modern mist chambers, produces 70 lakh high-yielding eucalyptus clones annually, ensuring farmers receive top-tier planting material. The center also features a dedicated open area for hardening and grading saplings, ensuring only the best are distributed. To further enhance supply reliability, Action TESA has collaborated with leading clonal-producing nurseries across India.
Step 2: Empowering Farmers with Tools and Technology
Delivering high-quality saplings at subsidized rates is just the beginning. Action TESA has introduced multiple farmer-centric initiatives to ensure long-term success, including buy-back assurance and continuous technical support. Additionally, the Kalpa-Taru App takes farmer engagement and plantation management to the next level by offering advanced features:
-
- Geo-Satellite Imaging: Tracks plantation growth with precision.
- Geo-Fencing: Maps farm plots for better planning.
- Plant Calculator: Calculates sapling requirements based on planting type.
- Growth/Wood Calculator: Estimates potential yields.
- Expense Reports: Tracks plantation investments.
- Weather Forecasting: Provides guidance on optimal planting and care schedules.
The app ensures real-time communication with Action TESA’s technical team, enabling farmers to adopt best practices and achieve higher yields and profitability.

What Action TESA Has Achieved
In just three years, Action TESA has distributed over 114.63 lakh high-yielding clonal saplings, covering approximately 11,463 acres in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This achievement underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable practices and farmer empowerment.
By combining cutting-edge technology, sustainable practices, and farmer-centric initiatives, Action TESA is shaping the future of engineered wood while promoting profitability and environmental stewardship.
Beyond Plantation: Action TESA’s Holistic Approach to Sustainability
Action TESA is committed to taking sustainability beyond plantations, integrating renewable energy and resource conservation initiatives into its operations.
Solar Power Initiatives
As part of its renewable energy drive, Action TESA has installed a 4 MWp captive solar power plant, significantly reducing its reliance on fossil fuels. To further enhance its clean energy footprint, the company is setting up a 5.4 MWp solar plant, scheduled for completion by March 2025. These initiatives underscore Action TESA’s dedication to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and powering operations sustainably.
Renewable Resource Management
-
- Eucalyptus as a Renewable Resource: Eucalyptus trees grow quickly, with a harvest cycle of approximately 10 years, making them a sustainable choice for wood production. This helps alleviate pressure on natural forests.
- Carbon Sequestration: Eucalyptus trees are highly effective in absorbing carbon dioxide, aiding in climate change mitigation. By promoting eucalyptus plantations for furniture production, Action TESA actively offsets carbon emissions linked to its operations.
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant
Action TESA is proud to be the only company in the SIDCUL Industrial Area, Sitarganj, to operate a state-of-the-art Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant. This advanced system ensures that no liquid waste is discharged into the environment. Instead, all wastewater is meticulously treated, reprocessed, and reused within the production process, showcasing the company’s commitment to water conservation and sustainable practices.
